The journey begins: Why I write
My writing journey began with a deep fascination for the very structure of storytelling itself, which led me to pursue a Master’s in Creative Writing. This academic foundation, coupled with my experience as a scriptwriter for the renowned Globe Theatre, provided the perfect platform to explore the vast extremes of human experience.
From the sweeping scale of ancient mythology to the intimate, sometimes frightening, corners of psychological fear, I write to find the universal truth in specific struggles. What I love most is the architecture of a narrative: meticulously building a world where a reader can get utterly lost, whether immersed in the high-stakes tension of a thriller like Devil's Reality Show or captivated by the profound emotional depth of a romance. Bringing a story to life is, for me, about revealing that shared human experience.
Beyond the bio: What truly shapes my stories
Long before I began writing seriously, I was always drawn to understanding why people feel the way they do, rather than simply how impressive their lives appear on the surface. I’ve always been the kind of person who notices the subtle pauses in conversations, the profound meaning in unsent messages, and the raw emotions people try so hard to conceal. Writing became my most powerful way of giving these quiet, often overlooked, moments a resonant voice.
I genuinely believe that stories don’t need to shout to matter. Many of my most significant ideas have emerged from solitary travel, late-night reading, or simply sitting patiently with unanswered questions instead of rushing to conclusions. This profound patience – both with people and with the narratives themselves – profoundly shapes everything I write. At the core, I write because I’m endlessly curious about human connection: how people love, how they break, and how they bravely keep going regardless. If there’s one thing that truly defines me beyond titles or achievements, it’s that I’m always listening – for stories, for emotions, and for the deep truths people rarely say aloud.
